Book Donation

Kong Mou Sum Library (Library) welcomes donations of books and other materials, and appreciates the generosity of donors for enriching our collection. Such contributions play an invaluable role in supporting the learning, teaching, and research endeavours of both students and staff at the College.

Method of Donation

Donors can fill in the Donation Form ( Download Donation Form ) and drop off their donated items at the Library Services Counter within the opening hours of Library or mail the items to the following address:

Review and Acceptance of Donations

All donated items will undergo a thorough review by the Library to determine their suitability as new additions to the existing collection.

Kindly note that the Library generally does not accept the followings:

1. Duplicate items already held by the Library, unless there is high demand;
2. Materials that are outdated or lack academic and reference value;
1. • Titles in the field of Science and Technology exceeding 10 years of publication;
2. • Titles in the field of Computers and Commerce exceeding 3 years of publication;
3. • Titles in the category of Travel Guides exceeding 5 years of publication;
3. Materials in poor condition, such as those with damage, missing pages, water stains or excessive markings;
4. Materials with uncertain copyright;
5. Incomplete set of book volumes or periodicals;
6. Religious texts of a propagative nature;
7. Member directories of institutions;
8. Meeting reports containing only agendas, name lists, and outlines;
9. Audio or video recordings without broadcasting authorization;
10. Materials not aligning with the Library’s Collection Development Policy.

The Library reserves the right to make the final decision on the acceptance, cataloguing, processing, location, retention and disposal of the donated materials.
